I’ve been thinking a lot about The Matrix lately.
Remember the character Neo?
He lived in a system designed to look real, but it wasn’t. Every rule, every law, every “truth” he was told all of it was manufactured to keep him asleep. Until he woke up.
That’s us.
We live in a world where the systems are pre-installed:
Government writes the laws.
Religion gives you rules and rituals.
Society dictates what “success” should look like.
And everyone just follows, like robots on autopilot.
The few who rebel? They get labeled. “Sinner.” “Rebel.” “Lost.” “Prideful.”
It’s the same in Divergent, those who didn’t fit the mold were hunted.
But let me ask: is it really rebellion… or is it awakening?
Losing Ourselves in the System
The truth is, most of us have lost ourselves in these man-made systems.
We’ve traded our essence for order.
We’ve silenced our curiosity for compliance.
We’ve confused being “safe” with being truly alive
But what if all this was the lie?
What if the real sin is not disobedience to the system, but disconnection from our Source?
The Courage to Go Within
Jesus once said:
“The kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)
That means the doorway home is not out there in the rules, laws, or social scripts. It’s inside.
And like I wrote before about curiosity, it’s the key. The gateway.
But here’s the challenge: the moment you go within and connect with your essence, everything changes.
You begin to question the way you were raised.
You start unlearning the scripts you inherited.
And yes, you might even ask the hard questions: I'll leave you to think about it
The Cost of Awakening
To unplug from the matrix is to risk being misunderstood.
To question is to risk being exiled.
To awaken is to risk being labeled “lost.”
But in truth, you’re not lost, you’re found.
You’re finally peeling back the illusions to see life in its raw variety.
The Doorway Back Home
Here’s what I believe:
Curiosity is the starting point. It makes you ask, “What if everything I was told isn’t the whole truth?”
Courage is the fuel. Because questioning takes bravery.
Essence is the destination. When you connect with who God truly made you to be, beyond the noise of systems.
And maybe, just maybe, this is what Jesus meant when He said
we must be childlike to enter the kingdom (Matthew 18:3)
Children are curious. They’re unafraid to ask why. They’re unashamed to seek truth.
The world wants robots. But God designed explorers
So, the question is: will you stay plugged into the illusion?
Or will you awaken to your essence, and walk the narrow but freeing path… home?
